Net Connection
will supply, configure and install all the necessary
hardware for your wireless network. This
includes:
- Access point (with or without an internal
Internet router)
- Client PCMCIA and/or PCI adapters
With the cost of wireless hardware
dropping over the past years, this is now a real alternative for
the Home/SOHO user. Currently you can obtain up to 108Mbs data rates
(with compatible hardware).
Access Point/Internet Router Configuration
Wireless access points
can also include an Internet Router that will connect directly to your
broadband ADSL/Cable modem. Net Connection will supply and configure
the router to enable Internet Connection Sharing for all clients.
Client - hardware/configuration
The term client refers to the PC's on the network. Net Connection
will supply, install and configure the wireless network cards into your
existing computers. For computers that already have a wireless interface
(notebook with Centrino), we will configure the device to connect to the
network.
Hybrid network
If you already have a cable Ethernet
network, Net Connection can integrate the new wireless hardware into
your existing network.
